You are invited to
attend a session at the Winnipeg Winter Club on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 20 to meet with other
members in Management Consulting and informally discuss items of common interest. The meeting will occur
between 1:30 – 4:30 pm and will be followed by a brief informal networking and cocktail
hour.
Proposed
topics include:
- Job
opportunities and job placem
ent
- The
University of Manitoba (Asper School of Business Career Development Centre) has an active Co-op program. The
University of Winnipeg has just started a Business Faculty Co-Op Program. CMA Manitoba could facilitate
connecting students and companies interested in the CMA designation and Management Consulting. Is this a
program CMA Management Consultants would be interested in?
- Succession
Planning (possibly related to the Co-Op Program)
- Continuous
Professional Learning & Development (CPLD) requirements. What are some topics that would appeal to
the community of Management Consultants
- Should we
pursue a relationship with Certified Management Consultants (CMC) and establish a certification
process?
- What is the process to buy into a
firm, sell management consulting practice or develop a partnership?
- Are
Management Consultants organized effectively? Is there a desire for Management Consultants to
organize?
- Are there
ways to share things like policies, government requirements and information on subjects like administrative
practices (negotiating leases).
